Our Social Responsibility

Social responsibility are integral to our standards. We believe that the foundation of a sustainable brand lies in the treatment of every individual involved in our supply chain. Our commitment to using only the highest quality cotton goes hand in hand with our dedication to ethical practices.

We ensure that every worker on the production floor, is compensated fairly for their labour. This is not merely a statement; it's a commitment to uplift the communities that contribute to our brand's success. By adhering to fair wage practices, we strive to create an environment where workers feel valued, respected, and empowered.

Moreover, we actively engage with our suppliers to verify that they meet our stringent standards for fair treatment. Transparency is key, and we encourage a dialogue that fosters accountability and continuous improvement across our operations.

Our commitment to ethical practices means we champion a work environment where rights are not just ideals but realities.

Fiendrich has adopted a robust policy with regard to the following minimum social responsibility criteria:

  • No use of child labour

  • No use of forced labour

  • Safe and healthy working conditions

  • Payment of living wage

  • Freedom of association and the right to collective bargaining

  • No discrimination against employees

  • No excessive hours of work

A living wage is fundamental. We advocate for fair compensation that reflects the true value of the work performed, allowing our factory employees to lead fulfilling lives. Empowering our factory workers to join unions if they so choose, thereby enhancing their collective voice.

The commitment doesn’t stop at wages. We provide reasonable working hours for our orders to promote a balanced life, understanding that well-rested and content employees are more productive. Furthermore, we recognise that the future lies with our children, who have the undeniable right to an education.

Living Wage Bonus Programme

At FIENDRICH, we are resolutely committed to wholeheartedly supporting the dedicated workers who make our garments. For every single retail item we sell, we voluntarily allocate an additional USD 1.29 per piece above our cost price as a meaningful bonus payment to the employees working in our factories. This thoughtful initiative directly aids them in managing their everyday living expenses, including essential needs like food, rent, utilities, and transportation, while also ensuring that their children receive a quality education, which is vital for their future success.

Transparency and accountability are paramount in our operations, guiding us in every decision we make. Our management team consistently makes regular visits to our factories to diligently audit these bonus payments, verifying that every cent reaches the workforce on the floor. We accomplish this by carefully examining the monthly wage records, which are signed by the workers themselves, ensuring that they receive the bonuses that are rightfully theirs and enhancing their livelihoods.

While many companies are resorting to cost-cutting measures, especially in challenging times of high inflation, at Fiendrich we are doing the opposite, because we believe in the importance of investing in the people that make our garments possible. Our philosophy is simple yet powerful: when we uplift our workforce, we are also investing in their communities, creating a positive cycle of growth and sustainability that ultimately benefits us all, both ethically and economically.
